Something went wrong with the merge of the config manifest after uploading to GitHub. It hasn't caused an issue as AMP ignores duplicate settings. But it caused things to not get updated like they should be.
There is an issue with the system parsing the character for a certain locale. Simplified the regex to find anything in that section as it's useless info anyways.
This requires AMP 2.3.3 Nightly to function properly. You can obtain it here:
https://archive.cubecoders.com/thread/nightly-amp-builds-are-now-available/
This release includes the following:
- RCON support (affected by timeout issue: https://github.com/CubeCoders/AMP/issues/575)
- Ports are updated to UDP Game and Query + TCP RCON
- Linux CPU & Memory monitoring
- Linux proper shutdown/startup without needing to restart the instance
- Settings files moved to save-data/Settings to avoid wipe on server update. (Due to bug with game server the whitelist and banlist are still in the original location, but that shouldn't be an issue since AMP will store the settings)
- Fixed the "Connect to Server" button, but the devs haven't implemented this feature yet so it's just here to look pretty.
- Added v-risingupdates.json and v-risingports.json for clarity
This changes the V Rising server to use WINE64 instead of Proton due to unknown issues. WINE64 has proven stable so far with my own tests and initial testing from other users. There are some reports that player counts over 5-10 might become unstable and can cause crashes though.
Prerequisites if not using docker:
`sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386`
`sudo apt update`
`sudo apt install wine wine32 wine64 xvfb lib32gcc1 lib32gcc-s1` (only one lib... will be found depending on the distro)
This adds Proton support to V Rising using the latest beta experimental branch. Also implemented the new port mapping method.
This requires xvfb as well. You will at least need to run:
`sudo apt install xvfb`
And if there are issues running you may be missing further dependencies. Try running these"
`sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386`
'sudo apt update'
`sudo apt install wine wine32 wine64`
This does not currently work in Docker!
I somehow removed the QueryPort through all the changes with the command line args. It's back now. Also added default blank values for EnumValues to avoid any possible issues.
I was given bad info by the support in the Stationeers Discord. I've corrected the startup command line args to properly create and load the same world.
Updated the command line args due to formatting issues with the game, added Server Password to the command line since it goes in the Engine.ini and is not a line included by default. Disabled RCON for now due to the bug with AMP disconnecting after some time. The server works fine with regular console but will not accept input.
The devs broke the log. It no longer shows player join/leave properly. It just has ??? for most values. This can't be fixed, but the join regex can be. They added a space before the line previously, now they added one after the line. I'm adding buffers to each line as a failsafe.
There is a second config file I did not notice. Spaceengineers-Dedicated.cfg is used for the initial world creation, and some of the other global settings. Then, the Sandbox_config.sbc file is used inside the world folder for subsequent changes.
This is the first draft of the Mordhau config. The current issues outstanding:
1. Console/RCON is not accepting input
2. Shutdown (OS_CLOSE) command does not work cleanly in Windows.
This game has many bugs still and the dedicated server does not function properly. It is unable to create a new world. You must create a singleplayer/multiplayer game and copy it into the save folder. The line "OriginWorldSaveLocation" must be removed from the world_meta.xml file when importing.
-Remove uneccessary -basedirectory launch arg
-Removed -modpath launch arg that does not work. It must be manually set in the default.ini file
-Removed "" around launch args
-Corrected -worldname to -loadworld
-Clarified Map select option
-Set autosaveinterval to default at 300 per the default in the game
Created the settings needed for the metaconfig file. Added web management. Only server start regex included due to only having player join regex otherwise. This would cause the player count to be off and there is no chat message either.
Console still has no output in Windows based on the above referenced issue.
Fixed the config file getting overwritten on update
Added Sleep functionality
Fixed Steam direct connect link
Properly hid Port/IP settings
Removed unused Port 3
This is the beginning of the Killing Floor 2 config. It needs further settings added before release, but currently runs and can set the starting map.
Known issues:
The console does not connect as this starts a separate process.
Cannot add all ports needed due to 3 port limitation: https://github.com/CubeCoders/AMP/issues/582
This is the initial Stationeers generic config. The server functions well overall. The GUI settings appear to work as intended. I do not own this game and as such cannot test fully. I need someone to login and obtain the join/leave/chat console output so I can complete this one. Otherwise, I believe it should be finished.
Known issues:
The shutdown command does not work in Windows, only Linux using OS_Close.
Sleep mode fails to wake up: Related issue - https://github.com/CubeCoders/AMP/issues/587
I believe that this game's dedicated server is the cause of the timeout issue. It is still in an early beta stage at this point. I have tried to recreate the problem and no matter what, I cannot now. After the first initial connection to any server it works from then on. The ini file is intended to not have quotes in this case given the examples at the top. There are other settings I've put in the GUI but do not seem to function in the server yet, things like "No Food", "No Death", etc. have no impact. You will die and you will be angry. Please contact the develop to have them fix their game.
Set the ConfigFormat to use quotes around all settings. I believe this was causing games with spaces in the name to be non-joinable. The strange part is you could set it back to having a space and it would work going forward.
Also set the ExitMethod to String and quit. The user must type yes following since there is no option to do two input commands to quit a server. CtrlC doesn't work in AMP on Windows for this game. And CtrlC doesn't work for this game on the Linux Terminal. OS_CLOSE ended in a kill.
Removed the config file and used the start/wait/stop update stages instead.
During the Proton feature enhancement I accidentally removed the Steam SDK update stage. This should resolve it so players can view their server in the browser again.
Based on Greelan's review, I've updated the following:
1. Removed unnecessary ports
2. Clarified Max Heap needs "m" at the end
3. Added "" around startup args that were manually inserted
This switches the config to use a base config rather than a template to allow users to manually add special settings without a full config file overwrite.
This should be the final version of the config, ready for release. The only issue is there is no "shutdown" command for this game without using the GUI. The only way to stop it within AMP (as far as I can figure out) is to do a force stop.
